There's a little-known gem in Tewkesbury - the Old Baptist Chapel, hidden away down an alley running from Church Street towards the river. The building, originally a medieval timber-framed hall house, dates from the 15th century, but some time around 1620 it began to be used as a chapel by the Baptists. The Chapel's Interpretation Project has won Heritage Lottery Support and a range of events are planned including, I hope, some which celebrate its musical history. Watch this space!

Jill Davies
Jill Davies has spent most of her life immersed in music, from sitting under the piano while her mum gave lessons to taking up the ukulele a couple of years ago. She's an agent (mainly for singers) by day, has a personal record of going to 12 concerts in 3 days, and can't decide whether it's more fun to sing Elgar partsongs or play Gibbons viol consorts.
